Mickey and Dee

I have had a lot of people tell me that dahlia looks like mickey and they dont believe me when I tell them they dont look alike. here is a pic of each at three months what do you think?

In this video Dahlia is attacking Mickey but Mickey loves it and asked for it he lays down right in front of her just so that she will climb over him and "get him", I love it and Mickey deserves it!

giddy up!

Mickey is in love with the girl next door. I dont blame him she is really cute and treats mickey like a king! she lets him come over and help her make brownies and chew her gum and watch cartoons at her house and just chill. well the other day he was at her house while she was waiting for her date to come pick her up. when the date came she brought mickey home and went with the boy. mickey watched them get in the truck then started to cry, really cry. When I asked him what was wrong he said, "I want to go to the date with April." it was so sad. We had to give him a treat and go to the store to get him over it. I told April what happened and the next week this is what she and Mickey did for their date. I thought mickey was so brave. I dont know if you can tell in the video but the horse was going kind of fast and mickey held on well. He loved it.

mothers day!

Here is a little tribute to the mothers in my life. I have the best mom ever! and the best mother in law ever! they both do so much for me and my family. i am so grateful to both for being strong and going to church by themselves while they were young. If not for that I don't know where I would be today. We celebrated mothers day with my family on Friday before Amy and Kyle and David went to Philadelphia for the summer. We had a BBQ on our new patio and watched the Jazz game. Today we went to Jason's grandpas house on his moms side. mickey thinks his name is Grandpa Noodle but it is really newell. We had a BBQ with them as well and then stopped by my Grandmas house in salt lake on the way home. She is a fun lady to visit with I cant believe how many interests we have in common.

As you may or may not know my Mom is quite handy with the sewing machine. She made a very cute pink and green car seat cover for Dahlia and also made her beautiful blessing dress, not to mention the baby blankets she helped me make, well I should say I helped her make. I admire my mom for being so good at sewing, and cooking, I can always count on a good meal at her house and a delicious dessert. Whenever she comes over to my house she just rolls her sleeves up and gets to work helping me with whatever cleaning needs to be done which is usually dishes. This spring she just graduated from the usu Brigham city campus with her associates degree and is only about a year away from getting her bachelors.

My mother law (Kaylene) is an amazing woman, she will do anything for any of her children. she will drop what she is doing to help them with their needs. She always makes us feel welcome when we come and dump our junk all over her house and stay for the weekend. She feeds us and takes care of our kids when we visit. We all look forward to her holiday packages she sends us in the mail. I am so thankful to her for being Jason's mom and for doing such a wonderful job with him, training him for me. I am the one who benefits from all her hard work.

Jazz playoffs!

Grandpa Torg had an extra ticket to the playoff game on may 2nd, so he invited Jason to go with him and mickey doesnt need a ticket, so he went and sat on "grandma great great's" lap. I am sorry i apologize because I am not sure of who they were playing but I do know they won! they didnt get home until late that night so I was in bed. when mickey woke up saturday he came in and told me all about the game. He said there was fireworks and fire in the piano and the bear was on the piano and the ballons falled. he showed me his big finger her got too. then jason woke up and told me about the cute clown family they saw. it was a mom a dad and a daughter clown that jason says was the same size as mickey and made him a balloon it was a sword, but mickey was a little scared of the balloons and after waiting in line for the balloon said, "i dont want it" so they threw it in the trash. He also said Grandpa bought him a green snow cone. I think he loved it. Jaosn said he was really good and that, at the first he sat and clapped for like ten minutes straight. thanks so much Grandpa for the fun night out!

living room

Our most recent project was the laminate flooring in the living room. We tore out our old carpet that smelt like dog pee. Under the carpet we found what we believed to be the original wood flooring. It had been stained at some point but whomever stained it only did the edges, I guess they figured if the rug would be in the middle nobody would know. when we took the carpet up and mickey saw the carpet pad he thought we got new green carpet, so he was really confused when we pulled that up too.
